OCUSP is hosting an innovative workshop that brings together leading experts to explore how colleges and universities can make meaningful contributions to sustainable development through the convergence of campus operations, academic programming, research, and community engagement.

Format

Panel discussion highlighting programs at the international, national and provincial level that are successfully bringing different stakeholders – academics, students, facilities managers, business & community leaders, etc. – together to support sustainable development.

Breakout sessions where attendees can explore opportunities and barriers specific to their institutions using various strategies, including sustainability learning outcomes, applied student sustainability projects, interdisciplinary teaching and learning, assessment strategies, and more.

Networking lunch where attendees can more informally discuss campus sustainability strategies with one another.

Plenary session to discuss key takeaways and outcomes from the workshop, as well as potential next steps.
