Intro to AI in Change Management [Online]
Overview
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming our world. AI can enhance decision making, drive efficiencies, and foster innovation. Understanding the basics of how we can work with AI to improve our performance and open the door to new possibilities is essential for today’s workers. However, the AI-driven changes required to achieve these goals can overwhelm employees, reveal hidden fears, and inspire other sources of resistance to the changes. But there is another side to this story as well: AI-driven changes not only trigger resistance but also AI tools can also be used to help reduce such resistance. AI plays a dual role for change managers.
Through the use of short lectures, group discussions, and individual reflections, this half-day course provides an overview of the complex relationship change managers have with AI and how AI can be used to make change initiatives more successful. Starting with the fundamentals of what is AI and how it is being used today in change management, the course progresses to cover the human and technical skills needed to lead AI-driven change initiatives. The course wraps up with tips for preparing workers for upcoming AI-driven change, increasing their change resilience, and how to overcome emerging resistance to changes.
This course is an overview of the topic. A much more in-depth exploration of the topic can be found in our one- or two-day Using AI in Change Management Essentials course.
