Intro to Punch Needle with Maureen Winnicki Lyons

Learn to draw and colour with yarn in An Introduction to Punch Needle with Maureen Winnicki Lyons at Wool Mountain Studios.

In this class, participants will design and punch-needle a design of their own creation (or choose from one of ours) on monk’s cloth in a 20cm (7”) grip-hoop. Discussion during class will focus on design, selecting appropriate materials, and process including how-to match yarn with cloth with needle size etc. A selection of suitable yarn and appropriate linen and all tools will be provided for use in class. Suitable for beginners.

Class size is limited to ensure a quality experince for all. Class will be held at Studio 2-2 at ARTlington Studios, 618 Arlington Street in Winnipeg. Please note that ARTlington Studios is not an accessible building; there are stairs wth seven steps immediately on entrance and no lift. Ample street parking is available at no cost
