About this event

About the workshop:

Join Open Pit Theatre for an introduction to the world of puppetry! Perfect for beginners or those who wish to play! Jessica will be demonstrating the core principles of puppetry, and each participant will get a chance to manipulate their very own handmade newspaper puppet. At the end, participants will work in groups of three to manipulate one giant puppet together, which is a form of puppetry called Bunraku.

For the aspiring puppet makers out there, Jessica will also be showing how she built the puppets that will be featured in Radio Silence.

Come and play with us!
