Concordia University’s Jurist-in-residence, Morton S. Minc invites you to a conversation with Me Louis Charette, about his personal experience as a gay man navigating the legal profession and how he harnesses that experience to advocate for diversity in law.
About the guest speaker:Louis Charette:
In his 2017 speech on behalf of fellow inductees of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Louis Charette emphasized the need for diversity in the law profession: “Without diversity of race, gender, origin, sexual orientation and religion, there’s a risk that the legal profession and the judicial process will lose the public’s confidence.”
In this conversation with Concordia's Jurist-in-Residence Morton Minc, Charette shares his personal experience as a gay man navigating the legal profession and the ways in which he uses this experience to advocate for diversity in his everyday life, in the profession and on the bench.
