Originally from Dublin, Jim McLean is an accomplished, seasoned guitarist and vocalist whose warm voice and fingerpicking style have captivated audiences across Europe Western Canada. Known for his heartfelt covers of timeless songs, Jim weaves together tender melodies, rich storytelling, and a few wise cracks in his performances. With a repertoire inspired by some of the greatest songwriters of our time including James Taylor, Randy Newman, and Hoagy Carmichael, Jim brings a unique Celtic sensitivity to classic tunes blending emotion with musical finesse. Weaving threads of folk, Celtic and contemporary soul, each song is a love letter from Jim’s vast repertoire.
