Description
Johnny Be Good Pub Crawl
One of the town's best known brewery workers John Evans is battling cancer, and the Fredericton area Craft Alcohol Producers have come together to help support him. All proceeds from this event and the brewing of the beer will go to John, to help him with his battle with cancer.
The Story
We gathered a few weeks back at Grimross and produced a batch of Nut Brown Ale.
Many of the producers will be customizing the batch with Cask Aging / Dry Hopping / Blending.
All the variations will be served during Fredericton Craft Beer Festival 2016, and to kick it off, we're hosting a pub crawl.
Most of the producers will have a brewer/cidermaker/meadmaker along for the trip and we'll be led by our Commander in Chief, Andrew (Esty) Estabrooks who has co-ordinated this whole craziness!
The Pub Crawl
Each stop will include a 9 ounce pour of a different variation with a double dip at the final stop.
We'll be starting off at the King Street Ale House , then half of the crew will be heading to the Snooty Fox while the other half will head to a top secret, undisclosed location TBA.
We'll then all head down to The Capital Complex and share war stories about the previous stop.
After that, we're splitting up again with the crews swapping locations from the 2nd stop.
Finally we're all heading to the Crowne Plaza for 2 samples.
Aside from the great time with the producers, and the 6 samples, and the feel good of helping out one of our own, you'll get to keep a sample glass at the end of the night, and be among the first to try our first ever Fredericton Craft Alcohol Producers Collaboration for a Cause!
Only 64 Tickets available! We atrat at 6 PM Sharp
Participating producers include:
Red Rover (Blending with Cider to make a Brown Velvet)
Sunset Heights Meadery (Blending with Mead to make a Braggot)
Special thanks to our participating locations who are welcoming us in and donating their time and pouring the beer for the pub crawl to us at cost. Please support them.
+1
Also, special thanks to Jym Line Glassware for donating the glassware to the cause. Thanks Tom!
