Lapu Lapu Healing Art Circle

Have you been affected by the events of April 26 - Lapu Lapu Day Festival?

We are convening an art circle to hold space for you to connect with community, process collectively and creatively express. No art experience or expertise is required - You will get to explore various art media and modality - e.g. painting, clay, writing, movement. We will also have indigenous elders in for a few sessions to guide us through indigenous and land based healing practices.

While these sessions are not therapy, they are curated to support your healing and thus, are not output focused. So, no pressure to have to produce something! Meals are provided and transit support available upon request. All sessions are free and supported by the Kapwa Strong Fund.

Tuesdays 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Starting 12 August 2025,

2728 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5K 1Z6

Our sessions are gently guided by indigenous elders and art materials will be available for you to explore creative expression. There will be an exhibition in January, should you wish to share anything with the larger community. It will be a beautiful way of honoring this process, while letting other members of the public in to hold space for collective grief.

Fundamentally, these sessions are here to support your healing and offer space for community connection. While we encourage participants to join all our sessions, it is not mandatory as we understand that everyone has different needs and availability. It will also be possible to join later in the program should anyone discover this circle belatedly.

Fié will text and/or email you to confirm your spot.
