Light Up North Van! Holiday Bike Parade
Overview
Join us for a fun and festive community bike ride on Saturday, January 3rd at 4:30 PM!
We’ll depart from Grand Boulevard & 15th Street, head up to Lynn Valley Centre, then loop west toward Jones Ave before rolling down to the Shipyards for a cheerful evening ride.
This family-friendly event supports the Wonder Wheels program (formerly Bikes for Tykes) from Family Services of the North Shore and HUB Cycling.
The ride will be led by City of North Vancouver Councillors Tony Valente and Jessica McIlroy.
Light up your bikes and bring your holiday spirit, but please remember:
- headlights, taillights, helmets and accepting the waiver via registration are mandatory. - Every participant must be individually registered.
This is a community-led ride and is not sponsored or connected with the City or District of North Vancouver. Riders are responsible for their own safety, ability, and ensuring their bikes are in good working order with standard front and rear lights (holiday lights encouraged!).
Before departure, we’ll gather for a brief safety talk and route overview. The route uses protected bike infrastructure wherever possible, though some portions require crossing intersections or riding beside traffic. We’ll ride together and won’t leave anyone behind.
If an Environment Canada weather warning is issued, the ride will be postponed and all registrants will be notified by email.
Come ride with us, spread some joy, and support a great local cause!
