DAY 1 - FOUNDATIONS (Saturday, November 16, 2019)

  • Keyword your images

  • Develop your photos in both colour and black and white

  • Removing Blemishes and Distractions

  • Basic Brushes, Graduated Filters and Radial Filters

  • Export your images for print and for web

DAY 2 - INTERMEDIATE (Sunday, November 17, 2019)

Once you have a good handle on the Foundations we'll explore more advanced editing techniques and new ways to display your photos.

Requirements

LIGHTROOM CLASSIC CC - This course is specific to Lightroom Classic CC (desktop software). We will not be using Lightroom CC. Lightroom 6 users will be missing a few of the newer features but will benefit from all the rest of the content.

LAPTOP - All students will be required to bring their own laptop with Lightroom already installed. Remember to bring your power cord as we'll be on our laptops all day.

HARDRIVE SPACE - Sample images will be provided so that everyone can work from the same images to learn the skils being taught. Please ensure you have at least 5GB of free space for copying these files.

YOUR PHOTOS - If time permits you will be given an opportunity to edit a couple of your own photos with assistance and critique. Because importing can take some time, please have a few (10 or less) of your photos copied to a single folder.

GENERAL COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE - This is not a computer course. A general computer knowledge is expected. Example: navigating the files on your computer, copying and moving files between folders. There is a lot of information to cover and our focus is getting you comfortable with the editing process in Lightroom.

Location

We'll be hosting the bootcamp at the Chatham-Kent Public Library.

Lunch Break

There will be a 1 hour lunch break provided. Lunch is not provided.
