Living with Purpose is a specialized 6-week virtual closed-group program designed to provide support, empowerment, and guidance for young women navigating the challenges of breast cancer at various stages of their experience.

Grounded in the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this program offers a safe and understanding space for participants to explore their inner strengths, cope with uncertainty, and redefine their sense of purpose and identity in the face of adversity.

Based on evidence-based practices, the program utilizes the ACT framework to help participants enhance psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and self-compassion.

Rethink’s psychosocial support program offers these virtual support group sessions to the community free of charge.

What to expect:

Participants will be invited to share experiences, offer support, and learn from one another's experiences.
Structured in a closed group format to foster an environment of safety, community and support.
Each week, participants explore different themes relevant to living with purpose despite the challenges of breast cancer, such as managing treatment side effects, coping with body image changes, fostering resilience, and finding joy in everyday life.
Through group discussions, experiential exercises, and mindfulness practices, participants actively engage with the material and learn practical strategies for coping with the emotional and psychological impact of breast cancer.

This workshop will happen every Thursday (Eastern / Toronto Time) starting March 6th and will continue on March 13th, 20th, 27th, April 3rd and 10th.

Please note that while the format of this group is closed, meaning when you regsiter you are committing to attending 6 consectutive sessions, which is most beneficial as they build on one another.

WHERE: Zoom Meeting (Link will be included in the confirmation email to ensure everyone's privacy). Please note the zoom link will be the same for all six sessions
