In Intro 1 through Advanced Scenes 2, you learn they many joys of swimming while in a nice heated pool. In Long Form, it’s time to swim in the ocean. The canvas is bigger, the things you’ll see and do are wilder, and it is many of the faculty’s first loves. Once you go long, you rarely go back.

In this class, you will study the basic concepts and techniques that make exceptional long form improvisation possible. You will hone the techniques of scene starts, edits, beats, the challenges and opportunities that exist in returning to scenes and the many nuances of group game. You’ll practice these skills on the Harold, a form that offers structure to your newly ocean-bound ensemble.

Long Form 1 is the prerequisite for three other classes, which together make up our Long Form Studio. Once you’ve moved on from this class, you are eligible for Long Form 2, Long Form 3 and Long Form 4 in any order!

Refunds & Cancellations – Registration is non-refundable within two weeks of a class' start date. Refunds for class fees are available prior to the two week cut off, however Eventbrite fees will not be refunded. Accessibility - The venue is accessible from the street level with no steps up.

Show Day Information - Wondering when your shows are? 95% of BTC shows are on Wednesday nights at 7PM or 9PM. Your exact show schedule will be sent on the first weekend of your class!
