Curious about Mahjong and the Japanese Riichi style you’ve seen in shows or games? This beginner-friendly session is designed for people who are brand new, even if you’ve never touched a tile before.

HFX Board Games Plus is hosting a relaxed learning night where we’ll walk through the basics step by step so the game actually makes sense. The lesson is free, and no experience is needed. The Board Room Game Café charges their regular admission fee of $10 plus tax.

The teaching is free. The Board Room Game Café charges their regular admission fee of $10 plus tax. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

Expect a casual, social evening focused on learning, light strategy, and having fun. By the end of the night, terms like pon and chi will feel familiar.
