This interactive workshop equips participants with practical tools and techniques to enhance their mental well-being and effectively manage stress. It introduces the foundational principles of mindfulness, focusing on cultivating an awareness of the present moment. Participants will engage in guided mindfulness practices to reduce stress and promote relaxation. The workshop also covers the psychological and physiological impacts of stress, offering insights into how mindfulness practices can alter stress responses and improve overall resilience.
Objectives:
- Understanding body's stress response and its effects on physical and mental health
- Recognizing the signs and symptoms of stress; physical, emotional and behavioral
- Learn various mindfulness techniques, to cultivate present moment awareness and reduce reactivity to stress.
- Exploring mindfulness in everyday activities

Eligibility:
- Only Permanent Residents or Protected Persons (e.g., Conventional Refugees)
- Permanent Residents or Conventional Refugees who reside in Canada
- Completion of our intake form is mandatory.
