About this event

Members of the McMaster community (students, instructors, faculty, staff) participate in all aspects of the academic mission and have a responsibility to uphold and maintain the institution's reputation in this space. Academic Integrity Policy https://secretariat.mcmaster.ca/app/uploads/Academic-Integrity-Policy-1-1.pdf outlines the who and the what of academic expectations and offers the procedural sequence to address offences.

At this workshop, participants will learn about McMaster’s approach to academic integrity through the following:

• Overview of the Academic Integrity Policy and its scope and process

• Instructor/student responsibilities and how to mitigate offences

• Examples of academic dishonesty

• Contract cheating prevention tips

• Resources

• Q&A
