Monthly Meditation — Australia and Sri Lanka
Overview
On the first Monday of every month, we meet for a live, online meditation gathering from 7pm to 8:30 pm. Sydney time. We will meet on Zoom (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83506489824?pwd=cmpNQ1ljSmFVYURLWVN1dWllYUN1dz09), so you can participate from anywhere—just double-check the start time in your own time zone.
These meditation sessions are in the Theravada Tradition, and are particularly influenced by the Thai Forest Tradition. Bhante Joe is the main teacher.
Each session opens with chanting and a period of guided meditation, followed by a Dhamma talk and Q & A. To foster a sense of community, the meeting is not recorded, and participants are encouraged (though not required) to leave their cameras on so we can practice face-to-face.
This session is hosted by the Metta Centre and is open to both new and experienced practitioners. Meditators welcome.
