Mosaic Art Holiday Workshop $65

December is flying fast, but no doubt that your holiday shopping is moving a little slower. Why not make your own gifts this year? In just 2 hours, you'll create two mosaic ornaments, coasters or a mini mosaic that will be uniquely yours!

WHEN:

• Saturday December 20th at 1:30pm
• Sunday December 21st at 1:30pm
• Monday December 22nd at 6pm
• Tuesday December 23rd at 6pm

What you’ll do:

• Create a mosaic made of glass tiles using other examples as design inspiration
• Learn the basic technique in cutting tiles using tile nippers, and glue your design to the base

What you’ll take home:

• Two mosaic coasters, ornaments, or a mini framed mosaic
• A grout kit with simple instructions on how to apply it after the 24 hour drying time

COST: $65 ( includes all materials & tea)

WHERE: ChipChip Mosaics Workshop Studio at 825 Cahill Drive West

For all ages and levels. Held with small groups of six so that you'll get a lot of individual attention.

About the artist: Tonya Parriag is a Trinidadian artist who has been creating mosaics and sculpture for over 15 years. She has been leading art workshops in the community both in Toronto and here in Ottawa. See some of her artwork here:
