Move with Confidence 2026
Overview
This engaging series, offered in partnership with Propel Physiotherapy and the Brain Injury Association of York Region (BIAYR), is designed to help you stay active, safe, and independent in your everyday life. Led by a Physiotherapy Assistant from Propel, the sessions will guide you through practical ways to move your body, even if you face challenges from past injuries or other barriers.
Each class will focus on:
- Falls prevention strategies to help you feel steadier and safer.
- Higher level balance exercises to challenge stability and build confidence in movement.
- Upper extremity fine motor activities to support hand strength, dexterity, and everyday tasks.
- Strengthening for walking (gait) to improve endurance, coordination, and overall mobility.
The program is designed for all levels, allowing you to move at your own pace while gaining tools that support your health and independence. A little movement each day can go a long way – join us and discover how small steps can make a big difference!
