Native Plant Series: Potting Up Seedlings & Plant Exchange
Overview
Nature needs your help and it’s as simple as using native plants in your garden! Biodiversity, the variety of all living things necessary to sustain life, is declining because of climate change, habitat loss from increasing urbanization and agricultural practices. Come understand the importance of native plants, how to grow them to welcome pollinators and enhance the beauty of your garden.
Session 3: Potting Up Seedlings & Plant Exchange
Grow your gardening skills this winter with a hands-on seedling workshop! The Toronto Master Gardeners will demonstrate how to carefully select seedlings and pot them up into 4” pots, giving you the confidence to nurture young plants at home. Participants in the January session are invited to bring their own germinated seeds to exchange with fellow gardeners, while limited seedlings will also be provided for those who didn’t join the earlier sessions.
Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.
Registration: Public $20, TBG Members $15 (plus applicable taxes and fees)
