Navigating Care, Support, and Community
Overview
Navigating aging, caregiving, and community supports can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Join us for a one-hour, podcast-style conversation with guest host Ginger Bitzer, Founder of Nana’s Navigator, focused on aging in place, family caregiving, and navigating systems of care across Alberta.
This warm, conversational session will explore what “navigation” truly means in real life, how older adults can build a strong support “Dream Team,” and why caregiver-centered care is essential. Drawing on frontline stories from seniors and caregivers, the discussion will highlight practical navigation supports available across Alberta, including the values-based approach of Nana’s Navigator.
Topics include:
- What navigation really means
- Aging in place and building a support “Dream Team”
- Frontline stories from seniors and caregivers
- Who family caregivers are and why they matter
- The importance of caregiver-centered care
- Navigation supports across Alberta
- Nana’s Navigator and its values-based approach
