Wesley Ladouceur, Associate Vice President, Business Banking at Desjardins Ontario Credit Union

Wes Ladouceur graduated from University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce. He began his career in the retail banking industry in 2008. For the first three years of his career, he was a Personal Advisor with Desjardins Credit Union in Tecumseh, Ontario. In 2011, he moved to the Commercial Banking arm of the Credit Union and was a Commercial Account Manager. As Account Manager, Wes’ role was to attract new commercial clients as well as provide sound financial advice to his existing portfolio of clients. He was able to grow the Credit Union’s commercial portfolio at a fast pace and became the Team Lead for the Southwestern Ontario region in 2017. In January 2020, Wes became the Associate Vice President of Business Services, Southwestern Ontario and GTA, for the Desjardins Ontario Credit Union, where he leads a team of Account Managers.

Wes resides in Windsor and is an enthusiastic member of the community. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, playing golf in the summer and hockey in the winter.

David Florio, Partner, Advisory – Southern Ontario Advisory Leader

David Florio is a Partner with Grant Thornton and has over 27 years of experience in public accounting and professional services. He has significant experience in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Assurance, Risk Management, and Internal Controls evaluations across a wide variety of industries.

David is currently Grant Thornton’s Southern Ontario Advisory Leader and leads its Business Risk Services practice which provides services related to Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Governance, IT Risk and Assurance, and Cybersecurity.

Sanjay Desai, Partner, Advisory – National Leader Revenue Optimization Practice

Sanjay is a Partner at Grant Thornton within Advisory and is National Leader of the Revenue Optimization Practice. Working with private and public sector businesses and organizations, Sanjay brings a high level of leadership and expertise to revenue transformation projects in areas that include transformation with sales, marketing, finding new markets, market analysis, pricing strategy for products/services, go-to market strategy, customer experience, digital solutions to optimize revenue, process improvement, benchmarking performance, organization re-design and new business models to deliver or monetize services.

Between 2002 and 2010 Sanjay spent 8 years working in an Executive Team leadership and signing officer role with a private group of technology companies working in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Pacific Region.

Between 2010 and 2018, Sanjay built a consulting practice focused on revenue optimization and growth that was acquired by Grant Thornton.

Matthew Wise, Partner, Macdonald Sager Manis LLP

Matthew is a partner in the litigation department at Macdonald Sager Manis LLP, in Toronto. Matthew has a broad commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on Employment Law. Matthew acts for both employers and employees on issues ranging from drafting of Employment Contracts, wrongful dismissals, restrictive covenants, workplace issues and Human Rights matters.

In addition to his Employment Law practice, Matthew also assists with the enforcement of secured and unsecured debts, working with Banks and private lenders to sue on loan defaults, enforce General Security Agreements, as well as all aspects of mortgage enforcement.

Matthew has extensive experience in the adversarial litigation process, including appearances as counsel before the Superior Court of Justice, the Commercial List and the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as several administrative bodies, including the Human Rights Commission and the Ministry of Labour.

Matthew was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to that, he received a BA from Western University in 1994.

When not practicing law, Matthew likes to spend time with his wife and two daughters.
