New Year's Eve at The Bard and Bear

5 hours of board games: the perfect way to end 2025 and kick off 2026!

Join us for The Bard and Bear's first ever New Year's Eve, where we will be (you guessed it) playing board games. We'll also be serving up tasty food and all sorts of drinks right to midnight and beyond.

This will be a low-key, casual event. Yes, we'll do a little countdown together and toast with a glass of bubbly when the clock strikes 12. But you can expect laid back vibes and a bunch of other groups enjoying their games at their tables, like a typical night at the cafe (just open later)!

Doors open at 8pm, though you're welcome to arrive later in the evening. The kitchen will close for orders shortly after the midnight countdown, and we'll be closing up at 1am.

There are two types of tickets for this event!

The first type of ticket is by the table. This means you'll be sitting with (and playing with) the folks you come with, clean and simple. You'll just need one ticket per group for this type. Make sure you've selected a table large enough to seat everyone in your group: for example, a 2 person table for a pair, a 4 person table for a group of three, or a 6 person table for a group of five.

The second type is a NYE Meet Up ticket. We have a limited number of seats reserved for individuals (or pairs) who want to come, meet other people, and play games with new folks to ring in the new year. You'll need one ticket per person for this type.

Regardless of which type of ticket, each ticket includes:

• one glass of bubbly (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) per person
• one bowl of popcorn for every two people
• 5 hours of board games!
