About this event

Eligibility: Ontario Residents only. We are completely funded, and our programs are free of cost.

Liane Arandia is the Settlement Counsellor that provides settlement and employment support to newcomers and refugees of any immigration status forthe Newcomer Settlement Program (NSP) for all genders and Ganna Gungor is the Settlement Counsellor for the Newcomer Community Integration Program (NCIP) for newcomer women. We can support you by referring you to services you may need, sharing resources, and helping to obtain the following:

  1. Affordable housing
  2. Driver's licence
  3. SIN Number application, financial aid, OHIP/Health card
  4. Childcare
  5. Mental health counselling
  6. Education/training
  7. English Language Services
  8. English Conversation Circles
  9. Settlement and employment-related virtual workshops
  10. Referral to tax clinic & family finance clinic
  11. And more!

Additional support includes:

  1. Settlement Mentorship (female only) - you can be matched with a settlement mentor who provides local resources, advice in settling in Canada, career advice, and more
  2. Job Search - if you are not eligible for Employment Services or other employment support programs, we can assist you in job search with resume and cover letter building, finding job opportunities, and mock interviews

At this Information & Intake-Booking Session, you will learn about WoodGreen West's Settlement Programs for newcomers and refugees!

You will have an opportunity to:

- meet other people who have also been referred to our services

- hear from one of our clients and how she has benefited from the services

- get an overview of the services provided

- discuss next steps on how to be part of these amazing programs

- book a one-on-one appointment
