Oil Painting Winter Scenery Landscape Painting Workshop

In this Oil Painting Winter Scenery Workshop, you will learn foundational oil painting techniques, including color mixing, layering, and creating texture. You will explore how to depict winter landscapes with realistic light, shadow, and atmospheric depth. Key skills include glazing, blending, brushwork, and creating snow effects, all while mastering the use of oils to capture winter's unique beauty.

Techniques such as dry brushing, glazing and impasto will be introduced to create texture, bringing the icy, frosty scenes to life. We will also focus on painting reflective surfaces like snow and how to depict the delicate effects of light on winter elements. Throughout the workshop, participants will refine their brushwork for both fine details (like tree branches and distant mountains) and broader, more expressive strokes for skies and large fields of snow.

By the end of the workshop, you will have gained a solid understanding of oil painting techniques specific to winter scenes, including how to create depth, atmospheric perspective, and the signature clarity and richness that oil paints provide.
