Online Learning Event - Music & Stories with a CPO Violinist (Gr. K - 6)

Recommended for Grades K – 6
Learning Outcome: Students will recognize how poetry and song can expand how we think and feel about what can be experienced.
Speaker Bio: Theresa Dumbrique is a native Calgarian who plays violin in the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and has a master of music degree in violin performance. She began playing violin at the age of four and joined the Calgary Phil in 2012, where she especially loves playing Tchaikovsky and Star Wars concerts. On the side, Theresa trained in creating and presenting musical education programs under Samantha Whelan Kotkas through the National Arts Centre, which led her to develop workshops and music shows for schools and seniors homes across Calgary.
