Overview

Students will see how journalism works, from finding reliable sources to telling fact from opinion, in this interactive session

From television news to social media, it can be challenging to understand current events and determine what information is trustworthy. In this engaging session with CBC, students will get an insider’s view of a day in the life of a journalist and learn how news is made.

Recommended for Grades 3 – 6.

Presenter Bio: Jenny Howe is the voice of calm on The Homestretch for commuters trying to navigate through Calgary traffic. She's also a dog lover, a baker, a hiker, and a pretty serious pub-trivia player.
