SDNR Community Engagement & Bridge Building

SDNR FOR FIRST NATIONS was founded at York University and the Schulich School of Business in 2013 with the participation of Professors, Elders, Indigenous peoples in remote regions and students alike.  After two years of gathering data, research, and carrying out effective consultation, SDNR was officially launched in 2015. As an Indigenous community engagement organization, SDNR understands the importance of building bridges and reconciliation. Through an array of interconnected relationships between academia, stakeholders, government bodies, Indigenous peoples, and Arts-based organizations; the team carries out major fundraising incentives, policy analysis, research, economic & entrepreneurship development, environmental assessments, Elder services, and Artistic creations to encourage healing and reconciliation.
