Description
The next installment in an innovative concert series featuring musicians versed in the art of chip music, aka chiptune - the practice of making original music using obsolete videogame/computer sound hardware. Watch skilled composers and performers leverage platforms such as the Game Boy, NES and the Commodore 64 to unleash intricate, bass-heavy grooves in a variety of modern dance/pop/electronic genres. A must-see for audiophiles, gaming enthusiasts, and electronics tinkerers alike.
This special edition features Mega Ran (from Phoenix, Arizona), Sammus (from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and Together We Are Robots (Calgary, Alberta) - as well as local musicians Freaky DNA and UNICODE. Visuals provided by Vectrola and alterus. Additional music in between sets curated by Bitcouver Chiptune Podcast.
