Yes the gates will be open so there will be no charge to park on-site

Will I get to speak to my academic area?

Yes your coordinator will be available to answer questions about your program

I have questions not about my studies (ex. parking, counselling etc.) will that be covered?

Yes, we are here to answer any and all questions and get you set up for your first day. There will be lots of support on-site and contacts provided to help you transition.

Of course feel free to bring a family member or friend to share the experience.

Join us on January 5 at 1450 8th Street East Owen Sound for an engaging day to prepare you for your studies.

Welcome to your academic orientation for the Owen Sound campus!

Congrats on becoming a grizzly and joining the Georgian family. We have a great day planned for you and look forward to meeting you on campus.

We will give you an in-person experience to what your studies will look like and introduce you to our Georgian community!

At Orientation, students will:

Meet their academic coordinators
Explore the school
Learn about how to access the amazing services we provide

A FREE PIZZA lunch will be provided as well as prizes and games!

Some topics that will be covered are:

Student insurance plans
Athletics, fitness and recreation on campus
Getting involved as a student (work on campus, GCSA, clubs, events etc.)
Student supports (counselling, student sucess advisors, tutors, accessibility, testing etc.)

The Market takes place in the Main Hallway across from the library. Learn about all the services offered to students at Georgian from the support staff who deliver them. Also, meeting the local community partners and the services they offer to help make your time in Owen Sound great
