PalliLearn: What Matters Most?
Overview
Join us for the second session of our live, interactive four-part online series where we’ll explore important aspects of palliative care together—not as a webinar, but as a collaborative session where everyone can participate.
November 18: Your Role in a Compassionate Community Learn how Compassionate Communities create essential support networks for those experiencing serious illness, death, and grief. Discover ways to nurture and strengthen these connections in your own community.
Facilitated by: Nicole Porquet-Seitz (Clinical Nurse Specialist, Alberta Health Services)
December 16: What Matters Most? Understand how identifying what matters most can help you live well today and plan for the future. Explore how to communicate your priorities and support those close to you in doing the same.
Facilitated by: Chelsey Shuman (Clinical Nurse Specialist, Alberta Health Services)
January 13: What is Palliative Care? Gain a clear understanding of palliative care’s broad scope and importance, explained in accessible language that you can share with family and friends.
Facilitated by: Lisa Shirt (Clinical Nurse Specialist, Alberta Health Services)
February 10: How to Have Conversations about Dying and Grief Receive practical guidance on having caring, compassionate conversations about difficult topics with loved ones, coworkers, and neighbors.
Facilitated by: Corinne Spronken (Registered Social Worker and Education Consultant, Assisted Living Alberta)
These sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging. Due to the sensitive nature of the topics and the interactive format, they will not be recorded or posted on Unison's YouTube page. Attendance at each session is not mandatory—please feel free to join one, two, or all sessions according to your interest. We warmly welcome your participation and encourage you to join us to learn and engage.
