We invite you to a cozy pre-Christmas workshop where you will learn to create a traditional Ukrainian Christmas ornament — the “ Pavuk .”

This is one of the most fascinating folk traditions: hanging straw constructions, almost weightless, assembled from dozens of thin straw tubes. For centuries, among the Slavs, pavuky served as protective household talismans. They were hung from the ceiling before Christmas and gently spun in the air, filling the home with a sense of living magic.

During the workshop, you will:

— learn the history and symbolism of the pavuk

— create your own straw structure

— take home a unique Christmas ornament crafted with your own hands
