  PCHC-MoM "From Far And Wide" Inaugural Gala

The Pacific Canada Heritage Centre – Museum of Migration (PCHC-MoM) Society is a non-profit society incorporated in 2011 to build a wider and improved understanding of Canada’s history and growth through intercultural explorations of historic and current trans-Pacific immigration.Our aim is to build a Museum of Migration on the West Coast.For now, we function as a “Museum Without Walls”, offering interactive educational programs all-year round. We will be the hub where Canadians will:•	learn about the missing, silenced or previously ignored Pacific Canada and Indigenous stories;•	research their family history and share their stories;•	examine recent and historical relationships and interactions between the relationships between immigrant-settler communities and Indigenous hosts.

A table for ten guests at $150 each (we'll absorb handling fees when you buy a table) includes a fabulous dinner and dessert, inspiring stories, entertainment, a lucky draw for a major prize, dancing, and featuring our headline show with CBC Host and Comedian Ali Hassan!
Tentative programme*:
5:30 PM                   Registration and Networking
6:30 PM                   Official opening, Musqueam welcome and greetings
7:00 PM                   Dinner 
                                 Keynote by Mr. Deepak Chopra, CEO, Canada Post
8:00 PM                   Entertainment by CBC host and stand-up comic, Mr. Ali Hassan, 
                                 & the best of our community incl. a kebaya fashion show
9:30 - 11:30 PM      Raffle, lucky draws, and dancing
We have been functioning as a "museum without walls" for five years, offering educational programs with partners across the country mainly through the dedicated team of volunteers based in Metro Vancouver without any formal fundraising so far. Now we would like to give you a comprehensive report and celebrate our progress at our first fundraiser -- From Far and Wide Gala -- on Saturday November 25, 2017 at the River Rock Theatre in Richmond, BC.
All proceeds will be used to advance our mandate and to realize our dream of building a physical hub where Canadians can discover and share their family histories and more.
