Session 4: Innovative Methods for Patient-Oriented Research PART I: Identifying patient priorities of Patient-Oriented Research
Wednesday, May 3, 2017
Join us for our fourth session of the year as we talk about patient priorities within patient-oriented research.
There are numerous approaches to determining the research priorities of patients. One method, the James Lind Alliance (JLA), was developed in the UK more than 15 years ago and has been utilized around the globe. While it is a robust and rigorous approach, it also has some limitations due to the time to conduct and the associated costs. In this session the speaker will provide an overview of a recently completed project, the Alberta Head and Neck Cancer Priority Setting Partnership, and offer insights into the lessons learned.
Hosted by the Career Development Platform of the Alberta SPOR SUPPOR Unit,
Guest Speaker: Leah Lechelt, Alberta Cancer Foundation Director of Patient Partnerships.
There is no cost to attend the sessions, but online registration is required. The in-person sessions will take place in the following location - please select the means you plan to attend when you select your ticket:
University of Calgary - W21C Multipurpose Room
