Pottery Wheel Level 2

Ready to take your pottery skills further? Our Level 2 course builds on the basics with new techniques and refined forms.
Perfect for recent beginners looking to grow.
Prerequisites:
- Have a good grasp on throwing a cylinder
- Can center confidently
- Can throw pieces in under 10 minutes
You will learn:
- Throwing solid, consistent cylinders with ease; working height and consistency by cutting up pieces and learning from cross-sections
- Consistency through repeat throwing to a gage
- Using your clay efficiently: throwing shot glasses with 6oz of clay
- Finishing your pots: Trimming all pieces and attachments (handles, decorative sculptural elements)
All students are invited to an end-of-class glazing night, with an opportunity for community connection. There will be an instructor to teach finishing / glazing. Level 2 will explore underglazes.
Sessions will run every Thursday at 5pm for 4 weeks in Februar.
