Are you considering a career as a police officer in Calgary? We're shaking things up! Two stages of our recruiting process come together in one day - be part of it!

Get a step ahead in the application process by completing the Alberta Police Cognitive Abilities Test (APCAT) and the Alberta Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police Officers (APREP).

Participation in this fast-track testing day does not require a formal application, and the information you provide to register is not considered an application. This event is intended for those who wish to submit their application within two (2) months of the testing date and who currently meet all our minimum requirements as outlined on the CPS website. This is due to APREP only being valid for six (6) months.

Only attendees that are successful at the APCAT (morning) will be invited to participate in the APREP (afternoon).

Registration is required. Anyone who is not on the attendance sheet will not be permitted to attend. Additionally, if you are unable to attend, you must cancel your registration through Eventbrite. No showing for an event will impact your ability to attend future CPS events.

Please do not register if you are currently have valid APCAT results, are in an active deferral at APCAT or APREP or you do not feel confident with your current fitness level. If you have any questions please contact cpsrecruiting@calgarypolice.ca.

Come dressed in fitness attire.

**Confirmation of attendance is subject to a successful security clearance completed by the Calgary Police Service.

The APCAT consists of 120 multiple choice questions and applicants must achieve a score of 70 per cent to pass (84/120). The exam is approximately three hours in duration.
