This introductory presentation explores psychedelic-assisted therapy for B.C. social workers at all levels of experience.

DESCRIPTION

This introductory webinar explores psychedelic-assisted therapy for B.C. social workers, covering its history, current evidence base, legislative landscape, and clinical applications of substances like psilocybin, MDMA, and ketamine. Participants will learn about social work roles in PAT and explore ethical dilemmas through case discussions and interactive Q&A.

PRESENTERS

Karina is a registered social worker in B.C. and Ontario with seven years of experience in crisis work, virtual therapy, program development, and private practice. She has completed specialized training with MAPS and TheraPsil and offers MDMA and Psilocybin Assisted Therapy for qualifying clients approved through Health Canada. She also provides compassionate preparation, integration, and harm-reduction support for those already engaging in substance use.

Anne-Marie is a registered social worker and clinical counsellor with 14 years of experience working in mental health. She has worked in psychedelic research and advocacy since 2017 in roles with MAPS Canada and TheraPsil. She runs a private practice in Victoria, BC, offering MDMA and Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy to Health Canada-approved patients, as well as harm reduction support to the broader public.
