The Xanadu Quantum Codebook is an interactive, online resource that familiarizes learners with quantum computing and the quantum programming framework PennyLane. It consists of a sequence of self-directed, auto-graded programming “challenges”, complemented by a companion “textbook”, which includes pen-and-paper exercises that can be completed in tandem with the challenges. The materials are organized non-linearly, with curated paths through the different modules, so that readers can focus on what interests them the most. In this talk, we will provide an overview of the resource, perform a live demonstration, and discuss some of the key pedagogical and design decisions.
