Repetitive Mark Making (as a Creative Care Practice) ONLINE
Overview
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The focus for this particular session will be mark-making on paper (with an assortment of materials).
______________________________
In this workshop we will be exploring repetive mark-making as a creative care practice. We'll chat about understanding and approaching art-making as a creative care practice ...something that we repeat, something that we reach for and bring into our lives as wee bits of soothing balm. Some reprieve from the ALL-ness of it all. Some space to gather and ground ourselves, so that we don't get stuck in the overwhelm. Space and practices to nourish, strengthen, and empower ourselves.
We'll explore art-making as a sensory experience ...how does it FEEL to be in a body that's making art ...making marks. Our focus will be on simple processes, that we repeat.
We'll also chat about some logistics around building (and maintaining) an ongoing creative care practice of your own (solo and/or in community).
NO experience with art or art-making is required to attend.

NOTES ABOUT WORKSHOPS IN GENERAL
- If you’d like a visual glimpse into what we get up to in my workshops please visit me on Instagram (@heyheyshauna), or at www.heyshauna.com
- You needn’t have ANY experience with art or art materials to participate (and benefit from) any of my workshops.
- Groups are small, they are also generous, warm, and supportive... and easily among my favourite things.
- In all of my workshops, our focus is on exploring different art materials in lots of different ways …and noticing how those different materials and processes make us feel. And while I am here for any technical assistance you may need, our goal is not to focus on technical skill…but instead on curiosity.
