Meet Our Facilitator:

Dorothy Karanja is a yoga teacher (RYT 500), meditation and sound therapy practitioner, and holographic reiki practitioner.

Since 2013, she has taught regular yoga and meditation classes in Ottawa, including at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre and the City of Ottawa. Her current focus is on hosting community classes/events and her private practice, which started in 2019.

As a person of colour, Dorothy’s practice advocates for open and accessible healing that respects cultural roots. As a survivor, her practice is trauma informed; she is honoured to hold space for you, just as you are.
