Overview

The people behind the music - REVEALED!

Folk of the Baroque 2: Composers Gone Wild!

Back by popular request, a favourite programme makes a comeback, but with new music and stories! It's easy when reading about history to imagine that people back then, especially classical composers, were well-behaved. But scratch the surface and they were just as flawed as any of us - and sometimes it inspired their greatest work!

Breaking contracts, brawling, affairs, murders, and more, we will dig up the dirt on your favourite historical music makers. Works for Baroque chamber ensemble by Bach, Handel, Stradella, and more!

There will also be a small craft market featuring items made by creative folks in our audience!

Rezan Onen-Lapointe and Kailey Richards, Baroque violins

Erika Nielsen, Baroque cello

David Podgorski, harpsichord

Benjamin Stein, lute and theorbo
