What should I expect?

This is the official POPAT used for Police Officer applicants to the department. This test is a measure of your VO2 max. The official passing time for applicant qualification is 4:14.

I am currently not in the application process with the VPD, can I still attend?

Yes. This program is open to anyone interested in a policing career. It is also open for people who are currently in our application process.

Do I need to pass the POPAT in under 4:14?

Absolutely NOT, this is your chance to see where you are at, and the opportunity to get a feel for POPAT course.

How old do I need to be to attend?

You must be 19 years old to attend.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please arrive ready in appropriate workout gear, proper running shoes and a water bottle. Please bring a piece of photo identification.
