Samurai's Daughter
Overview
The Samurai’s Daughter: A Journey of Kindness, Courage, and Inner Happiness
The Samurai’s Daughter is a heart-warming theatrical adventure inspired by the Japanese folktale Hime with the Big Hat. The story is brought to life through Japanese culture and traditional performance techniques.
Audiences are invited to follow the story of Ume, a mysterious young girl who journeys with a large rice bowl balanced impossibly on her head. No one knows who she truly is—except Itharou, the Shogun’s youngest son, who chooses compassion over ridicule and dares to become her friend. Together, they set out to break the spell of the bowl, facing trials that test their honesty, devotion, and quiet courage.
