CAN-AMR-Net & ACER Consulting offer a 3-part workshop series to help emerging AMR & One Health researchers master science communication.
This three-part virtual workshop series, open exclusively to CAN-AMR-Net trainees in Canada, will help you communicate your research clearly and confidently across different audiences and platforms.
You can attend any single session or join all three for a fuller skill set. Each workshop is practical, interactive, and designed to strengthen how you share your science within and beyond the AMR community.
1. Creating and Presenting Posters/Infographics - Jan 20, 2026 - 10:00-11:30 AM MT
- How to design research posters and infographics for academic, industry, and government audiences.
- How to walk an audience through visual materials in a conference or stakeholder setting.
- Scheduled for delivery between mid-January and mid-February 2026.
2. Communicating Research to Different Audiences - Feb 3, 2026 - 10:00-11:30 AM MT
- Strategies to frame and adapt key messages for distinct audiences (e.g., the public, policymakers, industry, academics).
- Practice with formats such as the elevator pitch and the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT).
3. Using Social Media Effectively - Feb 17, 2026 - 10:00-11:30 AM MT
- How to create engaging, accurate, and professional social media posts to share research findings.
- Best practices for selecting platforms, visuals, and messaging approaches.
