Description
Have you applied, or are you considering applying, for the MA or PhD in Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies at Queen’s? If so, we welcome you to join us on June 14th, 2019 for our Meet & Greet event in Kingston, ON. We will tour our state-of-the-art facilities, introduce faculty members and staff involved in the program, and answer your questions. For those of you who do not live locally, we will reimburse up to $100 CAD in travel costs associated with your travel to Kingston.*

Meet & Greet Schedule
Prospective students arrive in Kingston, ON
11:30 AM–1:00 PM - Drop-in lunch at the Isabel Bader Centre, Dept of Film & Media
1:00 PM–2:00 PM – Presentation: Funding, Resources at Queen’s, & Life in Kingston
2:00 PM–2:45 PM – Tour of the Isabel Bader Centre
2:45 PM–3:15 PM – Walk to Agnes Etherington Art Centre
3:15 PM–4:30 PM – Meet with Agnes Curators & See Emily Pelstring’s Exhibit
4:30 PM–6:00 PM – Free Time for Self-Guided Tour and/or Dinner Break
6:00 PM–7:30 PM – Dinner and/or drinks with Film & Media and Agnes faculty and staff
Prospective students depart Kingston, ON. If you are returning to the Kingston train station, bus station, or airport, you will be provided a pre-paid taxi chit for the trip.
* Reimbursement Conditions: Funding for reimbursements is limited; reimbursements will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis until funds are exhausted. To apply for reimbursement of travel costs up to $100 CAD, individuals must be eligible potential applicants for the MA or PhD program in Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies. Eligible potential applicants include students who've recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field of study or who have significant professional experience that may qualify them for entry into the MA program without previous undergraduate studies.
Original travel receipts and boarding passes (if applicable) must be provided to Stephanie Wilson, Graduate Assistant, no later than 30 days following the event. To be eligible for reimbursement, travel must be economy class. If travelling by car, we will accept gas receipts for reimbursement if you provide the original, itemized receipt.
