SES Lecture—Mental Health & Seasonal Affective Disorder
Overview
As the winter days grow short, our bodies react. Changes in mood, loss of energy, and cognitive difficulties can all be the result. Up to 25% of the population in Canada will show symptoms of either Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in either a mild or severe form.
There is hope, however. With knowledge, we can recognise the issues, and use some of the available coping mechanisms to bring us successfully through the winter.
