Overview

Come learn about the ancient practice of smudging, its traditions, and how to incorporate it into your daily life as a beginner!

Join Janine and Amanda, two proud Métis women, for a meaningful and interactive workshop.

Explore the sacred practice of smudging and the spiritual teachings of the Four Directions. This session offers participants a respectful introduction to Indigenous ways of knowing, focused on traditional medicines and ceremony.

What You'll Learn:

  • The significance of the Four Sacred Medicines: Sage, Sweetgrass, Cedar, and Tobacco
  • How to perform a smudge and its purpose in cleansing, grounding, and prayer
  • The meaning and teachings of the Four Directions (East, South, West, North)
  • How to incorporate these teachings into your personal or community healing practices, respectfully and with intention

This workshop is offered in the spirit of sharing and learning. Non-Indigenous participants are welcome but are encouraged to come with humility and respect for Indigenous traditions and cultural boundaries.

This workshop is only $5. While it was initially offered for free, we’ve added a small fee to help support attendance and shared commitment. You’ll receive an email from Mystic Owl Wellness closer to the event with all Zoom login details—be sure to check your inbox.

Please note: Refunds are not available for this workshop. The cost has been kept low to honor your time and ours, and to encourage full participation.
