Soil Fertility Workshop - Carman
Overview
Day 1: Concepts of Soil Fertility and Productivity; Soil Reaction, Liming and Salinity; Nitrogen; Phosphorus (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
Day 2: Potassium; Secondary Nutrients; Micronutrients; Fertilizing for Profit (Economical Rates); Soil and Tissue Test Interpretation; Case Studies from Commission Agronomists (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
Tickets are $75 per person. Farmers who are members of Manitoba Canola Growers, Manitoba Crop Alliance and/or Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers will receive a rebate of $25 for each association they are a member of. If you are a member of all three, this event is FREE!
Space is limited! Max capacity is 25 participants.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This event is intended for farmers. If you are an agronomist hoping to attend, please email Ashley Ammeter at ashley@mbcropalliance.ca to be added to a waitlist. If there is space remaining closer to the event dates, you will be contacted. For agronomists or other industry, there is a Soil Fertility Refresher course to be held in Brandon, MB on Jan. 13-14.
