Solstice & Cider Celebration

Join Permaculture Calgary Guild for an evening of community, creativity, and celebration as we honor the winter solstice and embrace the season's natural rhythms!

When: Friday, December 12, 2025 | 4:30PM - 8:00 PM

Where: SunnyCider, 3300 14 Ave NE (Unit #1)

Cost: FREE (donations to PCG welcome)

Step away from consumer-driven holiday stress and into a warm gathering focused on connection, reuse, and honoring nature's cycles. This event embraces themes of winter solstice and Yule celebration.

Event Highlights:

Solstice Treasure Swap Participate in our modified white elephant gift exchange using pre-loved items! Bring one wrapped treasure in good condition - books, home decor, puzzles/games, kitchenware, or winter accessories like scarves and toques (clothing must be unisex/one-size-fits-all). We'll share the joy of giving new life to loved items.

Gingerbread House Decorating Get creative with our gingerbread house decorating stations. Houses will be raffled at the end of the evening!

Food & Drink SunnyCider beverages and Mexican comfort food from Chile N Mango available for purchase throughout the evening.

Community & Connection Mingle with fellow permaculture enthusiasts and nature lovers. We'll share highlights from PCG's 2025 events and celebrate what we've grown together.

What to Bring:

One wrapped pre-loved item for the treasure swap (limit one per person). Items should be:

• In good, usable condition
• Examples: books, home decor, puzzles, games, kitchen items, scarves, etc
• Clothing items must be unisex and one-size-fits-all
• No value requirement - just something you've loved that deserves a new home!

Who Should Attend:

PCG members, permaculture enthusiasts, sustainability-minded folks, and anyone looking for a meaningful seasonal gathering. All are welcome!
