Soul Care Sunday

By Balm Community

Overview

✨For creative souls craving space to unplug, slow down, and remember the joy of simply being.✨

Soul Care Sunday is a restorative music ritual for renewed energy and deeper connection. A sanctuary in the city, you're invited to rest in live music, movement, breath, and creativity. So you can return to your people, passions, and purpose with the power of your presence.

On Sunday March 8, 2026 from 10:30am-12pm at the Society Clubhouse in Toronto, step into a restorative experience designed with your wellbeing at heart.

Soul Care Sunday is part concert and part wellness class in one. Here's what happens in 90 minutes:

The Arrival

  • Gentle movement to release tension, and bring attention to sensation and feeling (all levels of mobility are welcome and modifications/choice will be offered)
  • Intentional breathing and vocal sound-making help you to break free of inhibitions, to activate mind-body-soul connection, and to find rest in the present moment together
  • A warmup designed to welcome your whole self as you are and harmonize with others

The Rest

  • Guided mindulness meditation and creative reflections with live music curated to take you inward
  • This might feel like a restorative yoga nidra class or enjoying a concert lying down

The In-between

  • Poetry, journaling, colouring, doodling, and time to share your thoughts, feelings, experiences, insights with the group
  • It's interactive, low pressure, non-judgemental, playful, and a safe space to express yourself

Event flow:

10:15-10:30 - arrival + tea
10:30 - welcome + intention setting
10:35-10:50 - movement, breath, sound
10:50-11:45 - music, poetry, creative expression
11:45-12:00 - reflection + community connection

You’ll leave with:

✨ Lighter energy to move forward with more ease and clarity

🪜 Practical tools to return to when life gets overwhelming

😮‍💨 Validation that slowing down isn’t indulgent but necessary

🫶 Expanded self-awareness and compassion

Who is this for?

The experience is designed for adults, but kids and teens will benefit from the nourishing, unplugged environment too.

For creatives, caregivers, deep thinkers, explorers, and changemakers...you know the importance of staying connected to your inner source of energy and inspiration. Yet it's easy to carry the weight of expectations, overextend your energy, or lose touch with your own wisdom.

This gathering is designed to help you rest, reflect, restore your inner strength, and connect to the greater love that's bigger than any individual self, so you can return to your people and purpose with clarity, presence, and vitality.
