Description
Our annual Spring.Bike.Ottawa event is popular. Attendance is up every year, thanks to to the variety of involved speakers from the local Ottawa scene and the great network opportunities with all those wonderful bike advocates in the city. Even snowstorms (the last two years) don't keep people home!
This year, Bruce Devine from the NCC will update us on NCC pathway plans, Kate Whitfield from Pearson will share her professional lessons learned at the 2016 Winter Cycling Congress in Minneapolis. We'll have the Canadian premiere of a short 16 minutes documentary 'Mama Agatha' on cycling lessons for immigrants in the Netherlands. We'll present our 2016 Report on Cycling in Ottawa (6th edition), we have a lawyer who will talk about legal issues and we should also have a speaker from the City of Ottawa confirmed soon.
As March progresses, we'll share more speakers when they confirm. It is going to look like another great afternoon of relaxed fun.
And although this is never planned, there are always people wanting to share the latest and greatest. We wouldn't be surprised if local politicians such as Catherine McKenney, Catherine McKenna, Yasir Naqvi and Jeff Leiper show up. Because it is a really nice event 'where everybody knows your name'.
We'll have some swag such as our new BikeOttawa T shirts. We are taking debit and credit cards now too.
Please confirm your attendance through EventBrite so that we know more or less how many cookies to order at he the Ottawa Farmers Market.
There are many people involved to put our events together. If you want to give us a helping hand, let us know at info@bikeottawa.ca

Not sure how that works, but give it a try.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
That is not necessary, we use Eventbrite to have a rough count of the number of participants
